Scaling Made Simple
A fast-growing software company replaces opinion-led roadmaps with a research habit that scales.
Project overview
A 60-person SaaS business was adding features faster than it was adding customers. Product debates ran on seniority, not evidence, and launches repeatedly missed the buyers they were built for.
Quillon's Market Insights track trained product, marketing, and sales together — one shared research language, one live question: which segment should we serve next?
The challenge
No one owned market research. Customer interviews happened sporadically, win-loss analysis didn't exist, and competitor tracking lived in scattered slide decks nobody trusted.
Our approach
The cohort ran 40 customer interviews in five weeks, built a segment scorecard, and delivered a board-level readout recommending a narrower ICP. Positioning, pricing tests, and channel plans followed from that single decision.
Results & outcome
One shared ICP
Product, marketing, and sales finally plan against the same definition of the ideal customer.
Research cadence
A monthly insight readout and win-loss ritual keep evidence flowing without agency spend.
Faster launches
Positioning and pricing tests now precede builds — fewer rewrites, smoother handoffs between teams.
